Sunday Races

We sail throughout the year with regular racing held on Sunday morning. The exact start and duration times vary slightly through the year and by the series being run.

Normally we will sail two races of around 30 to 45 minutes started on a 5-4-1 sequence. Races are run as Handicap races using PY numbers adapted for our location and boats, places are determined using the Average Lap Time method (ALT). All abilities are welcome.

We run the races according to the Racing Rules of Racing mindful of the skill, experience and conditions on the day with some variations which are detailed in the HCYC NoR and General Sailing Instructions.
