We will be running a Start Sailing Course over two days. On Saturday at 11am Jim (our sailing secretary), is running a "Sailing with Spinnakers" Session. This can be for anybody.... even those already proficient . We will have a kids Oppi/Topper session Saturday at 11am and our DUCK RACE on Sunday about 14:30. HCYC members are invited to come and join in the fun on our first of four Activity/Training Weekends this Summer. There will be Training on both days ( this needs to be booked with the Commodore beforehand) and we are also having a Saturday Night BBQ (5:30pm). The RYA is promoting a Nationwide "Push The Boat Out" event and HCYC will be welcoming people to our "Try Sailing Open Day" in May. We would love as many members as possible to help us promote this day to friends and also get involved themselves. At the end of January we have invited a guest speaker, Richard Thomas, to the club. He will be giving a talk on " A Day in the Life of a Thames Tug" This comes highly recommended by one of our club members and should be a very enjoyable evening, It will be £3 per head on the night, to include the usual tea and coffee refreshments. Please join us for our Christmas Social and take part in the traditional Christmas Pudding Race. There will also be a prize for the best decorated boat.....so get your tinsel ready!. Mince pies and sausage rolls will flow freely and there will be a few Christmas surprises.

This is a very important day in the club's calendar and gives our members the opportunity to reflect on what HCYC has been up to over the past year and applaud our prize-winners.
