    Activity Weekend August 5th/6th

    We will be running a Start Sailing Course over two days. On Saturday at 11am Jim (our sailing secretary), is running a "Sailing with Spinnakers" Session. This can be for anybody.... even those already proficient . We will have a kids Oppi/Topper session Saturday at 11am and our DUCK RACE on Sunday about 14:30. If you fancy a little go at racing Sunday at 13:30 we will run a short "learn about racing" session followed

    Activity/Training Weekend at HCYC Saturday June10th/Sunday 11th

    HCYC members are invited to come and join in the fun on our first of four Activity/Training Weekends this Summer. There will be Training on both days ( this needs to be booked with the Commodore beforehand) and we are also having a Saturday Night BBQ (5:30pm). Please bring your own food to cook and beverages to drink though tea/coffee/soft drinks will be available at the usual charge.

  • Après Sail Ship Talk and BBQ Wednesday 24th May BBQ 6pm Talk 7:30pm

    Enjoy a Wednesday club night with an early social sail from 3pm, BBQ at 6pm followed by an "Après Sail" talk by long term HCYC member, Ian Meaden. Sausages and and burgers will be available at a reasonable price (proceeds to the charity Parkinson's UK), or bring your own food.     Try Sailing Open Day Saturday 13th May 10:30-3:30pm

    The RYA is promoting a Nationwide "Push The Boat Out" event and HCYC will be welcoming people to our "Try Sailing Open Day" in May. We would love as many members as possible to help us promote this day to friends and also get involved themselves.   • Fitting out Fish and Chip Supper and Quiz Friday 21st April at 7pm for 7:30

    Join us for a tasty Fish and Chip Supper (with pudding) at HCYC followed by a Quiz. Each team will be 6 people and we can match these up on the night if you are not able to make a full team.   • Evening Talk Saturday January 28th at 7:30pm

    At the end of January we have invited a guest speaker, Richard Thomas, to the club. He will be giving a talk on " A Day in the Life of a Thames Tug" This comes highly recommended by one of our club members and should be a very enjoyable evening, It will be £3 per head on the night, to include the usual tea and coffee refreshments.     Christmas Event Sunday 18th December

    Please join us for our Christmas Social and take part in the traditional Christmas Pudding Race. There will also be a prize for the best decorated get your tinsel ready!. Mince pies and sausage rolls will flow freely and there will be a few Christmas surprises.

    AGM and Prize Giving Sunday 27th November at 2pm

    This is a very important day in the club's calendar and gives our members the opportunity to reflect on what HCYC has been up to over the past year and applaud our prize-winners.     HCYC goes to the seaside

    We had a wonderful day out at Brightlighsea. One of our awaydays from the normal water and a chance to really get the wind in our sails. A great time was had by all. Keep a lookout in the newsletter for future outings.
