Joining HCYC

We would love to welcome you as a member of HCYC. Before you decide, why not come along on a Sunday at lunchtime to have a look around and meet us?

To apply for membership please create an account by clicking the link below, then select the membership type that you want. We will then get in touch to confirm any additional details (such as boats, family members) before we set up your membership and email an invoice with payment details.

Memberships run for one year with our membership period being 1 April to 31 March. Members joining during the year will be charged pro-rata. Once you are a member you can buy dinghy park spaces should you need them.

We accept payment by bank transfer only.

The current membership rates are

• Family Membership - £130 for annual paymment (Full Membership including partner and children under 26 or in full time education)
• Individual Membership - £105 for annual payment (Full Membership for adults aged 18 or over)
• Non-sailing Membership - £30 per year
• Junior - £30 per year (must be associated with an adult membership)

Please note that the summer sailing season at HCYC currently runs between the beginning of May and the end of September each year and we only run the patrol boat during this period on alternate Saturdays and Wednesday afternoons. Consequently outside these times, club boats are not available for use by members who do not have their own boats as we only allow their use when the patrol boat is on the water. Subject to volunteers being available to put the patrol boat on the water, there may be the opportunity to sail at other times, ie the Saturdays when B Fleet is not taking place and Sundays, but this is not guaranteed. Please bear this in mind when applying for membership. Members with their own boats have access to the lake all year round with due attention being paid by them to weather conditions being suitable for sailing.
