  • Evening Talk Saturday January 28th at 7:30pm

    At the end of January we have invited a guest speaker, Richard Thomas, to the club. He will be giving a talk on " A Day in the Life of a Thames Tug" This comes highly recommended by one of our club members and should be a very enjoyable evening, It will be £3 per head on the night, to include the usual tea and coffee refreshments.     Christmas Event Sunday 18th December

    Please join us for our Christmas Social and take part in the traditional Christmas Pudding Race. There will also be a prize for the best decorated get your tinsel ready!. Mince pies and sausage rolls will flow freely and there will be a few Christmas surprises.

    AGM and Prize Giving Sunday 27th November at 2pm

    This is a very important day in the club's calendar and gives our members the opportunity to reflect on what HCYC has been up to over the past year and applaud our prize-winners. Please come along after the usual Sunday racing. Your support is vital to the successful running of our club. Tea/Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

    HCYC goes to the seaside

    We had a wonderful day out at Brightlighsea. One of our awaydays from the normal water and a chance to really get the wind in our sails. A great time was had by all. Keep a lookout in the newsletter for future outings.

  • RNLI QUIZ and Fish & Chip Supper at Hatfield Social Club: Friday 21st October

    Last year two teams of six from HCYC went along to the RNLI Quiz in Hatfield and were treated to an exellent Fish and Chip Supper and enjoyable quiz.The event raised over £1000 and it was a great evening.     Autumn Work Day - Saturday 15th October 9am to 4pm

    Summer isn't over yet....but pop this date in your diary. This is an important day to get the club looking spick and span and organised for the Winter! (I didn't really mention that word...) Every little helps, so if you can do at least an hour, all the members will reap the benefits.     Bart's Bash 2016 - Sunday 18th September

    It would be great to see as many members of HCYC as possible take part in this charity event. Last year we had 23 boats out, with all abilities and skill levels, some carrying 4 persons, so that everybody who wanted to be involved, could be included.     Boats well & truly "pushed out"

    Another great day at HCYC with lots of people joining us to have a go at sailing. A big thank you to all the club members who helped to make this such a great day, and even bigger thanks to everyone who came along to have a go on the water.     Push The Boat Out - Come & Try Sailing on 14th May

    The RYA is promoting a Nationwide "Push The Boat Out Event" and HCYC would like to welcome members of the public to our "Come and Try Sailing Day" on Saturday May 14th.
