Ray Parish Trophy Sunday 10th September

In Memory of our ex Vice Commodore, the flamboyant Mr Ray Parish, we are holding a 2 hour Endurance Race starting 10:30 in Pursuit Race Format.

Please arrive at 09:30 when Joyce C will be serving Bacon Butties until 14:00.

Teams will comprise of 4 persons in 2 hander sloops. The Helm can stay on for any length of time, but for at least 30 minutes you must carry a child or novice sailor to operate the jib. You may have two experienced persons on board for ballast purposes during this time. This 30 minute period to be taken anytime you choose during the race .

We need NOVICES AND CHILDREN to be recruited for this race.Please turn up with your sailing kit and we will get you onboard a racing dinghy.

HELMS please make use of our lovely novices. Feel free to use more than one novice if you can.... its about fun and participation !

We need SPECTATORS to cheer and help with the dinghies pit stops.

Our Race Officer will be the eminent Mr Joe Kendall, assisted by the dedicated Mary Richmond,crew for Ray Parish for 35 years !

We are hopeful that the Trophy will be presented to the winning helm by Ray's wife, Linda Parish, at around 1pm.
